5th/6th grade training and competitions
2023-24 A 5th/6th grade boy team, who mostly have never played organized ball. On a two game winning streak after the funny business that started our season. Throughout the first 6 practices and 6 or 7 games the students who where training under me where taking in what we were doing. Even with how games got taken away from them, because how that Jr. Pro at the Plex Youth Basketball League is ran, between the lines.
Jan 13 we played our last game. We may have been the only team to have had to PLAY A GAME IN WHICH one of the referees in that game. Was a coach who we had to played against and beat, and then had seeding on the line with the game he mysteriously officiating. We before this game was averaging 26+ points a game. We in that game scored 11 points. In this game calls where missed, calls where switched, the kids development isn't the NUMBER 1 GOAL OF THAT LEAGUE. Even though it should be. If the Jr Pro at the Plex - 2023-24 Parent/Coaches Group simply remember the past in Basketball Talent that came up inside of Hopkinsville just the one's in the past 20 years. You should force this league into becoming more student/coach/parent friendly. Offer water during ALL PRACTICES AND GAMES. For a state of the art facility. Where are can an athlete hydrate while inside Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex Hopkinsville? Offer more practice time and allow teams to help with scheduling of practice. Give the coach more legitimacy on the bench and allow his or her's objection to horrible running of multiple competitive games. That parents pay for, that students train toward. That coaches prepare a game plan for. To be heard by A DIRECTOR. who will get better results. Their are students, their are fans who come and watch. Their are sponsors who donate the money. Someone should make sure this outfit grows and not stay stagnant in whatever revenues it makes.
After this game. My players damn near blamed me. For the lose. None would speak to me, none would give me a high five. Even a PARENT Approached me and another parent with out kids. Saying I make bad decisions. Yet he doesn't understand what his son(s) accomplished in the 3-7 record. In this league and on HHB fundamentals is and should be the goal. All 9 of my seitos are well trained in the fundamentals of competition. When any of them get older and Stronger. They can be like the sensì of HOPTOWN HUSTLAS. A member of an all decade team on their high school team.I'm the Ultimate competitor and saw what was unfolding with the time keeping, the refereeing with some of these games.
